Leave Boston. Drive North. Keep driving. Into New Hampshire....Keep going, and eventually you'll find the lovely Woodbound Inn, a modest inn tucked away in the beautiful pines and lakes of the granite state. I had the pleasure of photographing Catesby and Trevor celebrate their nuptials, surrounded by nature and the love of their family and friends....A beautiful setting for a beautiful day, for a beautiful couple!
It was a beautiful day for Chloe and Alex, who celebrated their marriage at the quaint Dexter's Inn, a bed and breakfast in Sunapee New Hampshire. Mountain views were to perfect backdrop to the wonderful ceremony, and good friends and family made this day extra special...Congrats to the happy couple!
Chelsea and Nik kicked off the wedding season with a beautiful spring wedding at the Manchester Country Club in Bedford, NH. A little drizzle throughout the day moved the ceremony inside, but some cute umbrellas allowed for a few quick moments outside for the happy couple.
It was a treat to work in such a really spacious bridal suite with really cool mirrors and tons of room the party to relax and get ready for the big day.
Really nice colors on the bridal party- I loved the bridesmaids' dresses and groomens' vests- a nice touch to complement the spring colors in the room. Love the ladies' Ked sneakers- simple and fun ( and probably much appreciated after a night of dancing...)
The easy-going, laid-back style of beautiful bride and groom -and the fun group of friends and family - was the perfect way to start the season!
It's been an amazing few months! So many wonderful weddings set against fall colors, crisp weather, and beautiful couples. There were some awesome venues, late nights, and rainy weather, but several thousands images later I had some beautiful, touching images to share. Thanks to all the happy newlyweds who let me be a part of their day! Check out some of my favorite, and head over to the gallery!
Cait and Greg were recently married at the beautiful Flag Hill Winery & Distillery in Lee, NH. Sweeping views of the vineyards coupled with the rustic/industrial setting of the distillery made the perfect backdrop for the summer wedding. I loved shooting down through the aisles of the vineyard, which made a great location for their First Look. Great food and family made the day a special one to remember. Congrats to Cait and Greg!
It was such a blast shooting Tina and Brandon's wedding at the beautiful Le Meridian in Cambridge. I met the couple last summer for an engagement shoot and I knew right away it was going to be a fun wedding.
The day started off in the amazing presidential suite of the hotel with Tina in an absolutely beautiful dress, followed by touching First Look between her and Brandon. Formals followed with a easy, laid-back wedding party and a lovely ceremony. The reception was a blast and featured one of the best (surprise) first dances I've seen. A beautiful day with a beautiful couple. Congrats!
Ashley and Chris hosted friends and family for their wedding at the Christmas Tree Farm Inn- a charming rustic inn and spa in Jackson, NH. The couple wanted to do the First Look prior to the ceremony. It's something I highly recommend because it's a special moment between the bride and groom that photographs really well, and it relieves some of the stress before walking down the aisle. Thunderstorms rolled in just prior to the ceremony, but the party moved into the barn just as the evening ramped up.
Thanks to Ashley and Chris for letting me be a part of their day and getting some great shots!
I recently had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Sarah and Andrew at Cobb Hill Estate in NH, a hidden gem that's home to a 750 acre estate with breathtaking views of three states. Despite the relentless downpour that surrounded us in clouds and fog, it was a beautiful day full of love, family, friends, and delicious food. Poor weather risks putting a damper on things, but it can also lead to playful, fun images that contrast the less than ideal weather conditions....Congrats to the happy couple (and their dog!)
Engagement shoots are a great way to meet before the big day. It's a chance to work together in a low-stress environment and get a taste of what being in front of the camera is like. A thousand things are happening at once during your wedding day, so being able to shoot in a relaxed atmosphere, when it's just the two of you is a bonus. Plus, having engagement photos to add to a Save the Date or engagement announcement is nice touch.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Shiori and Brenden in Nashua, NH. They are such a cute couple and I can't wait to shoot their wedding in September!
I had the pleasure of shooting Katie and David's wedding at Independence Harbor in Assonet, MA as part of a double wedding weekend. It was a hectic couple of days, but it was great working with such as laid-back couple for a perfect Sunday wedding.
The rain managed to stay away long enough for a lovely outdoor ceremony, followed by a fun reception with close friends and family and delicious ice cream sundae bar. Best wishes to the happy couple!
After meeting Meg and Brett last summer for an engagement shoot, I knew their wedding would be a blast. In front of close family and friends, the lovely couple was married at the picturesque Stevens Estate in North Andover. The venue and surrounding grounds have a great look, and around every corner there's an opportunity for interesting photography. So lucky to have a chance to work with such a fun couple!
The sun finally came out last weekend for a great shoot with local actress Amanda Rodriguez. Awesome makeup work by Yomi. Now that spring is finally here, I'm looking forward to getting back outside for more fun shoots!
I'm happy to announce that I've been recognized by Thumbtack as being one of the most highly rated photographers in the Boston area for 2016! This is the second year in a row I've been given this recognition and look forward to providing my services to the Boston and New England regions more many years!
Traveling throughout Iceland during my honeymoon provided more photo opportunities than I could ever imagine...It's a beautiful country with such a varied landscape complete with geothermal pools, volcanic rocks, and rolling hills. It seemed like every photo looked like a postcard. If you're every considering a trip with incredible scenery, culture, and adventure-Iceland is the place to do it.
February saw another beautiful winter wedding, this time in Rhode Island at The Towers in Narragansett. Kathryn and Andrew were great and following a beautiful ceremony was a laid-back reception with stunning views of the water. The Towers is a unique venue with lots of light and character for great shots, merging a classy feel with ocean vibes.
I’m thrilled to announce I’ve been recognized by the New England Newspaper & Press Association’s (NENPA) 2015 New England Better Newspaper Competition.
My recent work, A Second Home for Kim, published in The Sentinel & Enterprise, won third-place for Human Interest Feature Story (circulation < 30,000) and won first-place for Slideshow in Daily Newspapers.
The Better Newspaper Competition is New England's largest journalism contest, drawing more than 3,000 entries.
Despite record-low temperatures in Maine (-9), the warmth of Anne and Mac's Valentine's weekend wedding in downtown Portland kept the cold away. After a beautiful ceremony in the early afternoon, we headed out to the Portland Headlight in Cape Elizabeth for some gorgeous images as the clouds broke to blue skies. A laid-back, intimate reception followed at the Ri-Ra Irish Pub, capping a lovely day.
While the east coast was being hit by the snow, I was fortunate enough to ride out the blizzard under the sunshine of LA. I rarely travel with my professional gear, opting to explore a new town or city with the limitations of an iPhone. It's a inconspicuous and convenient way of seeing new sights and sounds.
Great shoot with Fidan Alakbarli in Brookline!- Fidan is designer who launched her brand FEE DAN in Spring-Summer 2013 in Istanbul and in Baku. Check out some of her work here.
It was a blast working with the rich wooden backgrounds on the wall-they really absorbed the light and created some interesting textures and colors.
New Year's Day brought a beautiful shoot with Neha and Vishal. The couple braved the chilly air to meet in Woburn and with only a few setups we were able to get a lot of really nice moments between the two. If this is any indication of the year ahead, it looks like we're headed for another year full of great shoots!
